If ladder is metal, you'll have to go back to no salt pool. :(
YES! Salt water DEFINITELY causes corrosion in your swimming pool. I am a 25 year pool professional and I have seen first hand what salt does to gunite pools. It will eat you pool equipment, stone, concrete, metal, you name it. Keeping your pH neutral will slow down the process of corrosion, but it is still happening, regardless of your water chemistry. Do yourself a favor, DO NOT use salt in your pool.
Ive never heard of them being used before in salt water pools.
Salt water pools are high in free chlorides, which will cause chloride stress corrosion cracking in stainless steel heaters. Copper heaters will react with the salt water and turn the pool green. Im afraid that very noble and very expensive materials are required to heat a salt water pool.
Low quality S. S. ladder. Low pH and Total alkalinity. Aggressive water. k
Yes, salt can evaporate with pool water. As pool water evaporates, the salt content remains in the pool. When the water evaporates, the salt will be left behind and may accumulate in the pool. Regular testing and monitoring of the pool water chemistry is important to maintain the proper salt levels.
Rust coming from pool lights typically indicates corrosion of the metal components, often due to exposure to water and chemicals in the pool. This corrosion can occur if the light fixtures are not properly sealed or if they're made from materials that are not resistant to pool environments. Additionally, if the pool water has high levels of salt or chlorine, it can accelerate the rusting process. Regular maintenance and using corrosion-resistant materials can help mitigate this issue.
Add salt
Corrosion cannot be controlled. Pool installer should have used brass sockets, will not corrode. For cost of about $10 less a socket, replacement will cost hundreds to remove pavers, break concrete and reset in brass. Went through the same disaster with my pool
Simply put any pool can be a salt water pool, even an above ground pool.
No. salt water is salt water. it already has salt in it
No you will not have a salt water pool. yes you will have salt water but the actual electronic plates found in a genrator converts the salt in the water to chlorine to sanitize the pool water. A: You have to have the mechanical device to produce the chlorine in a salt pool. THE SALT A MEANS TO PRODUCE CHLORINE FOR YOUR POOL!
stagnet or still water attracts mosquitos weather salt brackish or chlorine Not your pool. A salt water pool IS a chlorinated pool if the system is working properly.
