Contact the webmasters at Craigslist. If there is a particular person/persons that are doing it, they can do something about it. Of course, if you do have unhappy customers, then there is not much else to do.
The flagging system, as it stands, is without a doubt the worst feature of craigslist. It is not only an annoying and burdensome way to deal with "objectionable" content, it has no human moderation and several ways in which a single individual can flag off a post. I have written craiglist about it several times, as I know many others have, but it seems as if they are either uninterested in, or unable to, fix it.
So what can you do? Don't bother contacting CL. The best thing as an individual you can do is respost, repost, repost. Keep a copy of your post on Notepad or whatever you use, complete with all tags because those are eliminated when your flagged off post shows up in your email. Copy, paste, post again. It will keep your post public and visible, tie up the time and energy of the flag abusers, and will eventually wear them down. On top of that, your post will actually get more visibility because it will keep popping up on top of the list. Curious it is, that flag abusers don't see this obvious problem with their tactic. *** Actually by doing that then eventually your account will be killed by craigslist. You need to remove the terms they are finding you by- they are called craigslist finger prints.
You can try emailing them providing proof of a descent lister. Also you can post in different other sites to reach out extended number of people. See the resources and you can post on them for free like craiglist.
I can't help but giggle every time i hear somone say ghosting. There is no such thing as ghosting. What actually is happening is after you post the ad you notice the if you check your ad its active but not one the site. Right? and so your thinking after 25 mins there is a problem and then after 40 minutes you dont see it on the site so your convinced its the ghosting issue. Nothing could be further from the truth. It's merely that craigs has your post scheduled to go live later. For example if you post your ad at 3pm it may go live at 3:45 or 4:14pm or even 5pm. Ive seen ads go live 2 & a/half hours after i go live. How do i know this, cuz i use a software called flagproofer, and listen up here for all you people who keep getting flagged cuz this helps you too. Flagproofer is a software the does 4 really amazing things. 1. tells you when your post is going live. (how awesome is that?) .....2. It gets every post live "every!":) even if the craigs system wants it off, it still goes live. (come on how can you resist this right?) at this point I was already sold on the software. Right? but get this there's more.
Number 3. When your ad goes live, the software block all flag attempts. Keeping your post live. and finally 4. If and only if your ad does somehow get flagged.(who knows maybe 7 people happen to flag you at the same time and the software can't keep up) but if you do get flagged, the software will stop and tell you the specific post that was flagged. ( how cool is that) .
While im here i would like to also throw out there that:
Changing IP's
Clearing your cashe, history, and cookies
Proxy servers
Ghosting
NONE OF IT MATTERS. Dont worry about any of that.
Check out flagproofer.com - there is a No credit card trial you can use. and spread the word, cuz this thread is just one of millions of threads out there with people just like you who are crying the craigslist woes. Good Day all
Craigslist ads flagging is the system of identifying and removing yours competitors ads from Craigslist.
Nope, there is no "fundraiser" category on Craigslist. In fact, many people consider fundraising a form of begging. One of the fastest ads that are removed by community moderation through flagging are e-begging ads.
The more ads you have flagged in the past and taken down, the less amount of times you must flag. Also, take turns flagging as all three reasons, not just one.
You can post a nice big image to craigslist with listhd.com
With your personal phone verified CL account from home you can post about 3 ADs per day without seeing flagging/ghosting. If you are trying to post multiple ADs in multiple categories you need to hire a service. Average about $.60 per post cost to you. If you can't afford this then you need to use google to research how to change IP addresses and how to create image ADs.
Flagging can mean a couple different things. In general it always means "to mark". In Microsoft Outlook you can flag an E-mail you've recieved. In this case it means you're marking it for a follow-up. On community websites such as wikipedia answers, craigslist, etc. flagging might be a bad thing. People can be flagged for spam, inappropriate content, or not following the rules of the website. In this case flagging usually results in a post being taken down or made unviewable. I hope this information has helped you!
If you are putting a post on craigslist it will give you an option to post a photo of your object. You should have the picture saved in your computer.
To get more images in your craigslist post, you must upload them to Craig Upload and then copy and paste the HTML image codes directly into your craigslist post
