How do you stop hating someone?

The only other emotion that may even compare is love, and some people say the two are opposite sides of the same coin. Not true, by the way, the opposite of love is apathy. You have to divorce yourself of all feeling toward that person. You have to not care, not be interested, not be concerned. Hate and love are intertwined, but they are not opposites. Often, hate is left when love dies. To have so much emotion, such great feeling for someone, typically results from the end of an equally strong feeling.

Begin asking yourself:

What does this person do for me?

Does he pay my rent/mortgage?

Does he feed me?

Clothe me?

Take me from place to place as I need?

If the answer is "no" to these questions, then you are on your way to divorcing yourself of the feeling for this person. Think about it, if the person has no affect on your life, beyond what you feel, then that person is not important enough to hate, and you can begin exchanging your hate for apathy.

you ignore them, you dont want them to find out that you dont like them. The best things for you to do is walk away everytime you see them.
find out a way to forgive them, if it means talking about whatever's wrong calmly with that person or letting out your anger on a pillow or just talking to someone older and wiser, you need to forgive them. Forgiveness is healthy.

depending on the conflict that happened between that person and you. If you actually know this person and he/she is worth keeping as a friend, try to get that friend back, you never know what to expect.

HATE is such a powerful word....to me you shouldn't hate anyone!But in some cases you would hate someone simply because you don't like the way they do certain things, the way act, or the way that they look. In my case I would hate you only if you do something bad to me! But you should never use the word HATE!
