cats kill things in despite its their nature. but you can try but i highly think your cat is gonna keep killing. anyway keep your cat inside for about 2-3 days and let him/her adapt to not running around so much. also everytime your cat kills something smack it-but not too hard. if its killing things like rats or mice or bugs you should be proud yet stop the cat from bringing it to your door step LoL! but if its killing other pets such as chinchillas gold fish fish then your cat has an issue with them and your cat needs to go outside for a about 1-2 days MAKE SURE TO PUT OUT THE FOOD!

Getting a resident cat used to a kitten is a slow process. First, you need to get the kitten settled into the home. This is usually done by keeping the kitten in a separate room for a week or so. Spend time with the kitten so she gets used to you.

To help, get a blanket that your cat uses (or rub a towel over her), and place it with the kitten. Do the same with the kitten; rub the kitten with a towel or blanket and place it with your resident cat. This helps them to get used to each other's scent without actually meeting.

Gradually, once the kitten is getting to different rooms of the house, let both cats meet. This will have to be closely supervise and controlled just in case a cat lashes out at the other. At first, do this once a day for only five or ten minutes. If any cat becomes aggressive or behaves in an undesirable way, remove the adult and then place the kitten back in her room.

As they get used to each other, you can let them spend more time together. Be sure to play with them equally and praise both lots when they behave. I have found that feeding both tidbits or treats together at close quarters helps them relax near each other.

This may take a few weeks, or many months. Patience and lots of love is the key!

It's just engaging in aggressive play, like if you were it's mom or dad. It's how they learn to hunt, is by stalking and pouncing and mock biting.

How do you get your cat to stop beating up the little kitten?

Remove the kitten from the older cat and separate them (using a gate, piece of cardboard, or other barrier between two rooms). The older cat should have free reign in most of the house, while the kitten is in one room. At mealtimes, place each cat's food on each side of the barrier with the removed so they smell and see each other. Sit with the cat; next time with the kitten. Slowly increase amount of time with the barrier removed, until they can be together without fighting.
