take the dog outside about every two hours. that way the dog will understand where it needs to poop. then after about a week take the dog out every four hours. by that time the dog should understand where it need to go number 2. at that point ease the dog into a routine. ex. take dog out whenyou wake up, before you go to work, as soon as your home from work and before you go to bed. about every six hours or so
get a doghouse and make it live outside
on offence but that is a horrible answer. all you have to do is potty train the dog or bell train him so that when they ring the bell you can let them outside. i hope that helped. (katiema10)
Let me add: Do you have a male dog that comes by and soils the sofa? If so, this dog could be marking territory.
Put the dog on a training line and you hold the other end, walk the dog by the area, as soon as the dog lifts its leg, yank on the leash and release the tension quickly, and command NO. Now, leave the line on the dog, you hold the other end, EVERYDAY.... and if you see him go there correct him as above mentioned. You will need to clean the sofa with an enzyme to remove the odor left behind.
Walk them more, especially about 20.min after meals or a good big drink of water. Praise like crazy when they pee outside. My dog is always excited to poop outside,as she knows this will get her a bacon treat.Don't leave water down overnight.
if i was you i would train him if not, try taking an old carpet to the backyard and see if he pee on it. If that does not work take the carpet that he pees on in the backyard and buy a new one.

I've answered 'how to train a dog to not pee [anywhere]' at this link, same goes for peeing on a rug...
If it is a young puppy, put pee pads around corners, and tight spaces or wherever you're dog frequently wees' at. If it is an adult, I think you should let them outside, alot, if you have a fenced yard, take them for many walks, (Every morning, noon, around sunset etc.)and feed them just enough, (dont give them too much water that increases the peeing.) If they go wee somewhere on carpet, clap and calmly say, "no" to them, the more you do it, the more obedient they become.
Easy~
You can teach it tricks. If that doesn't work, you'll have to come on here and ask again. Then maybe we will have the answer.
Keep him outside or-
Push his face near the pee say no then throw him outside. Keep a close eye on him when hes inside so you can scare him if he starts to pee.
1- get it a diaper 2-have it checked out by a vet. It may have a bladder infection
shoot it
get him used to peeing with the leash on, so he'll get used to it.
Squirt him with a garden hose every time he does it.
to stop peeing on your floor?
You can get the male dog neutered, this should stop him from urinating in the house as much as he did.
The only way to prevent this, is to walk the dog in the evening. Don't give it pills, your dog will hate you for it.
you take the dog outside take him outside the household.
How can I stop our dog to wipe her bum on the carpet or snow. How can I squeeze the gland out from her bum.
Positive reinforcement or punishment... You can show it where to pee and give it a treat when it does. or If it pees on the other dog, look at the peeing dog and yell "no" it until it stops. Either should work but positive reinforcement way usually works best.
throw it away.
Go to Walmart and buy Puppy-Accidents mats. They are at least $5-$10.
