The rubber shoould have tiny holes for air to escape, either fill these holes with silicone rubber or make bigger holes for more air to escape.

It's possible that the rubber seal around your door needs replacing. What is happening is that as the temps rise and fall, the snow begins to melt and then freezes and forms ice which basically seals the entire door. I'd check those seals around the doors. H-T-H
