You should atleast try to stop.
But if it is too much for you, you can try and out hotsauce over your fingers,
bandaids or tape,
and i also heard that getting braces would help.
the braces would be good anyways because sucking fingers cause pushed up teeth.
No, Mavala Stop is to prevent nail biting and thumb or finger sucking. It has a bitter taste and when applied to fingers reminds the user to keep their fingers out of their mouth.
To stop an eight year old from sucking his fingers...well the mean way is to put hot sauce on his hands or the nicer way is to give them examples of their friends that they do not suck their fingers and it is immature.
Well a 9 month old baby may still need to suck his/her fingers. Babies suck on fingers and pacifiers for security. They somehow need it. If you want to get a baby to stop sucking his/her fingers, give him/her a pacifier to suck on instead. Or keep him/her occupied so whenever he/she sucks on her fingers, give him/her a toy to play with.
Hi, I have had the same problem with your sister. I am twelve years old and I used to suck my fingers! How I stopped sucking my fingers is I went down to my local shop (Tesco), and brought a glove, bandage, and a safety pin to secure the bandage in place. Every night I go to bed I put the glove, bandage and safety pin on to stop myself from sucking my finger. I have done this for about the past 6 months and it has really helped. When i am fast asleep my mum comes and checks if i have still got the bandage on and have not pulled it off in the middle of the night. About a year ago now I went to the dentist (this was when i was sucking my fingers) and they referred me to and orthodontist. And now in three days i am having braces fitted as my teeth are not grown propley. I would advise your sister to use that way cause surley she does not want to have teeth that are grown properly. If you stop sucking your fingers your teeth will be perfect. I hope my help will help you!
You can try putting plasters on you thumbs and fingers because, i have tried this and it is working. You can also get you guardian or a relitive to help you through it. I hope this helps you XxxX
Breastfeeding, sucking on fingers, eating toys, etc.

A person can stop sucking their thumb at the age of 10 by using a product called Thum. The product should be painted on the tip of the thumb and will cause a displeasing in the mouth.
