(1) Make certain that the window closes tightly and/or fits firmly within the window channels. (2) Make certain that the door is installed to properly fit the door opening or that the hinges haven't slipped slightly out of position or that the door jamb part of the lock is adjusted so that the door is securely latched in the closed position. (3) Check the weatherstripping all the way around the door and make sure that it hasn't come loose or that a piece of it is missing.
