Remove magazine, clear weapon of any ammo. Then check it again, be SURE it is unloaded. Release safety, pull trigger to drop the striker. Lightly press in the figure 8 shape at the rear of the slide, holding it with fingertip. Press the takedown button at the top rear of the left grip- that releases the figure 8 shaped clip- left it move back, remove. Then tilt rear of slide up, and slide it forward off the barrel. STOP and do not strip further without the help of a smith.
