It all depends on the coating. Granite is a very hard surface that has a natural shine to it. If the granite has not been coated and is naturally glossy, it would take alot of work to get it removed. Grinding the stone would be the only way to get rid of the gloss. However if it has been coated with polish, you can use an industrial stripper to get rid of that coat,
The stripper should be applied with a single disc machine at low speed using a brown pad. That will get rid of everything on the stone
Try rubbing the stain off with mineral spirits or paint thinner first. If that doesn't work, you may have to try a chemical stripper that removes the type of finish you applied to your wood floors. Generally, they won't damage the glazing on ceramic tiles, but they may strip color from your grout so be careful.
Dampen a cloth with lemon oil and rub the gloss off.
Granite has no cleavage, it breaks off in crystals.
Very carefully. Granite is such a wide variety of stones, it is impossible to tell what cleaning product will damage a particular stone. Try any product on a scrap of the same type before using.
It will hold up the human body if it is placed on it. Technically, the effect will be that it will hold the body off the subflooring and floor joists.
