1. call Onstar center at 1888-4-onstar or press the Blue button inside the car. 2. prepare the VIN if using landline. 3. if call is connected using the blue button, ask the advisor that you want to activate or reactivate the onstar system in your car. if the car cannot connect, call the toll free # and give the VIN to the Advisor to check if the car has analog hardware or digital. 4. if analog, proceed to dealership and have it upgraded to digital. 5. if digital, try pushing the red button and if connected to an advisor, say it's not an emergency and that you just want to activate the onstar system. 6. if still not working, proceed to the dealership and have it checked. 7. after the upgrade, push the blue button and tell the advisor that you want the onstar be activated or reactivated.
