What you're theoretically supposed to do is pull the clutch handle in, push on the rear brake pedal, and turn the knob located on the front right fender. Your raptor should "click" right into reverse. That's of course when the quad is brand new, and if you don't have any of the tranny probs that the '01 raptor is plagued with.
the oil that is usually for grizzly is 10w30 but to make sure take your seat off and read the label on your breather it shold be listed under liquids
there should be two bolts behind the passenger seat, take those out. pull the strap on the passenger seat forward and pull the seat back. after you take the passenger seat off you can see the bolts for the front seat, take them off and back the seat out of the lip.
I have ran my 700xx against a 2008 raptor 700r SE both being stock My 700xx was about the same on level ground in accel. But starting on hills taking off the Raptor did pull me a little it also was a little more adgile(raptor). We were pretty even (level ground) until I hit fith gear then I pulled the 700r Its top end was at least 10 -15 mph slower. Dealer told me the 700xx would go 84mph stock.
yes two skrews r in under the scooter by the moter, just take them of and the seat pops off
take out the tool box u will see 2 nuts, use a 10mm wrench to take them off. pop out rear seat. to take off the front seat u take off the other two nuts on the back of the front seat. also 10mm wrench
underneath the back of the seat there are 2 crews undo them then take off the seat
You need to take the back cowling off to get to the "trunk" then take off the seat. under the seat should be the battery, just take off the two screws that hold each terminal on.
