Helpful tip: be sure to have the van on LEVEL-GROUND or use wheel blocks/emergency brakes to keep the van from rolling off the jack! I got a little lack in checking this recently and the van did exactly that: rolled backwards and collapsed the jack. Luckily I already had the spare tire on when it happened.

If you know how to weld pieces onto or cut pieces off of the hitch, there is always a way to make the hitch work. If, however, you want to just take the hitch off of the Ranger and bolt it up the Windstar, that would never work.
