It might be a matter of addons. Some addons, when outdated, start showing random coding and can take up massive amounts of data on your computer which will cause the game to crash or not respond. Try deleting addons or updating them.

It is currently not possible to send Bind on Battlenet Account gear (heirlooms) to another realm. This is a limitation of the mailing system as it was never meant to be cross-realm. They are working on it, it will just take some time to implement it. The only way currently to get BoA gear to another realm is to realm transfer, which costs money.
