If you have a Model 30 pump shotgun, the barrel is not intended to be removed by the user. To do so requires specialized tools such as a receiver block and a barrel wrench. You can clean and lube the shotgun with the barrel attached to the receiver. Contact Savage Arms Customer Service and get an owner's manual for your shotgun.
Pull down on the front of the foreend. It snaps right off. Open the action, and the barrel lifts back and up off the hinge in the receiver.
Take it to a gunsmith
You can get the serial number off the barrel and then go to the following website to find out the age: http://www.savage99.com/savage99_dates.htm
you cant take it off
You pull it off.
the large magazine cap screw has to be unscrewed, after which the barrel simply rotates and slides off the front of the shotgun.

I have a Savage 67-E 20-gauge, and to my knowledge this is impossible. My gunsmith agrees. The best you can do is drop the back stock and trigger assembly out, then slide the pump back and take out the bolt and firing mechanism. One this is done, take out the screw at the front of the magazine tube, let it fall a little bit, then slide the pump all the way off. I don't think you can actually take just the barrel off, but stripping it as I above describes leave you with a few parts: The firing parts, the buttstock connected to the trigger assembly, the pump itself, and one large piece that is the receiver and barrel.
yes because you can soft mod it unlike a 360. if you use homebrew you can take it off the wii
It is a Savage/Stevens Model 94, and the barrel has been cut off. Value is minimal.
The extended barrel comes off with 1 screw on it.....not sure which though so take all of the ones off that are on it as none of the important internal objects are on it, or have fun with your hacksaw.
