You have to make sure she is not hurt or in too much sunlight when she is giving birth and she cant be outside Here are the things youll need:
- You will need a Big used unwanted Blanket or towel
- You will need a soft rag to clean the puppy off (BE VERY GENTLE)
- You also will need a baby nose unclogger
- You will need a friend to help the dog that is giving birth
- A couple of pieces of different colored yarn (optional)
- You need to be ready to help Her
- Clean hands
Heres what you do:Put her on top of the blanket and sit by her and wait for her to put her head on the floor and if you have a weak stomach id suggest you DONT watch the next thing. Then when the puppy is out let her lick the overcoat goo stuff off of the puppy and use the baby nose unclogger to get the goo out of its mouth and nose.
then get your soft rag to clean the puppy off and gently lift the puppy up (Even if the mother wants to bite your head off shes too weak) (DONT DROP HER/HIM) get your friend to watch the momma while you gently wipe off the goop on the puppy and put a colored string around its neck (not too tight!) the second one same thing with different colored string then first one. Keep doing so only with different string and be with that dog 24/7
Take her to the local vet and they'll take care of the puppies.
A dog takes 58- 68 days to get pregnant.
a dogsitter or you an take your dog to the kennel.
A pregnant dog should NOT be given any junk food, such as an ice pop. It should be fed healthy dog food, water and milk - just like a human being. If you only did it once, the dog may be ok - but please don't do it again. Take care of her - she's pregnant!
Dog mom will do most of the work, the most important thing is to take mom water if shes not getting out of birthing box and food also she will take care of the babies herself if she does not feed them call your vet and ask him about puppy milk.
Take the dog to a vet and they will tell you what to do.
then give it to some one who could take care of it
Any that he thinks he can take care of. If you want it to be a surprise get a dog that is easy to take care of and one that is not to wild.
try and rehome it or take it the dog shelter
yes you can.
A vet can do artificial insemination on a dog. It doesn't always take but it can get the dog pregnant. But it's an expensive process.
you can't actually take care of a dog if your not physically there, but you can have someone else take care of the dog; or you can accommodate the dog in an area when you are at work or school. Leaving fresh water, food, toys, bed, and a training pad helps if you aren't around.
