Best Answer

You can remove them from the main tank & put them in a clear dish with some tank water and a small air stone making sure to cull (remove) any unfertilized eggs (they will not get any black dots (eyes) and typically turn opaque). Make sure you carefully clean the water once they hatch, and you can feed them a bit of brine shrimp, or fry food.

You don't, really. Keep the water the same quality as the parents were willing to breed in. Except for that, the father will do everything (mostly pick up any that have sunk and stick them back in the nest). If he's screwing up, there's nothing a human can do for them.

The best way to care for them is to remove the adults from the tank (as they will eat the eggs), and wait for them to hatch.
