Once you notice wet-tail, you need to visit a vet immediately! Wet-tail can be fatal(Kill) in less than 48 hours. Most pet stores have a medication section for small pets and the medication should be called "Dri-tail" (get it?).
definitley syrian. they live longer and are waaay less wild then dwarf hamsters. the dwarfs we used to have batted bit and were wild. the syrians and teddy bear hamsters we had were calm and easy to take care of. First time owner: don't hold your hamster for the first couple of days or they may get wet tail :)
Baby Syrian hamsters are adults at age 5 months!
he could of hit it or it could be something to do with his brain take him to a vet
you cant tell if just one hamster takes dust baths. most types of hamsters do take dust baths, try it out.
No, teddy bear hamsters are Syrian hamsters.
you can take care of it and be a good mama
no
No the first two weeks the mother takes care of them. When the hamsters are starting to grow hair you can either sell them or take care of them
Syrian, teddy bear hamsters. They are less wild and easier to handle than dwarfs. If it is for a little kid you need to get a teddy bear hamster because they are just all around easier to take care of and are less wild :=)
Try to find out why they died... bury them. My friends went on vacation a few weeks ago so they asked me to take care of their hamster. I have 2 other hamsters, so i took good care of it. But sadly, a few weeks later, it died of wet tail. Me and my mom buried it. R.I.P Chrissie!!
No! Because hamsters and bunnies don't know how to clean and take care of themselves like we do.
If you are a beginner, consider adopting dwarf or Syrian hamsters. They are the easiest to take care of and they are quite cute ! If you have taken care of a hamster before, and you are responsible, you can accept the challenge of taking care of a fancy hamster. A fancy hamster has long fur and you need to comb it every other day and occasionally cut it's hair! If you feel responsible enough, you can take care of any breed of hamster.
