Take the door apart and disconnect the seized motor from linkage and tape up window and replace motor.
you have to take the door apart. from there if you can't figure it out then you probably need to take it to a mechanic
My 94 Tempo's Driver window died, there are two main likelinesses. I believe telling the difference is as follows. If your window moves "somewhat freely" using your hands but the motor sound still goes, it is off the track and you need to take the door apart. If the motor is silent it is likely dead (that in combo with it still being on track ) and you need to take apart the door...to replace a motor.
I would try the window switch first , but if you are going to replace the switch then you will see how to replace the motor. You would have to take the door panel apart after that its easy.
I had to to take the door panel off remove the window motor raise the window then put the motor back on
can someone please tell how to get the door panel off to replace the window motor to my cadillac coupe deville
Take the door apart to see what the problem is. If it's a power window, either the mechanism broke, the motor failed, or most likely, the switch is bad.
Replacing a window motor in a 1999 Villager is quite easy. You will need to take the door panel off and unassembled the motor and put in the new motor.
Take the door panel apart remove the torks bolts at the bottom holding the window motor in. Take a drill and drill out the three rivet holes to remove the motor. You will then need to buy replacement bolts to reinstall unless they come with the motor. I had to do this yesterday and rebuilt the motor. (That will test the patients.) I cant seem to find where they sell them in my area.
take it to safelite lol
Take the inside door panel off and the water deflector paper and you will be able to see the window motor.
try playing with the switch, and take it apart and clean it, they are famous for getting dirty, if that doesnt work, youll have to take the door panel apart and see if you're getting power to the motor when the button is pushed.
