Most of the time it is just simply hitting the Esc button on your keyboard.
If that doesn't work, right-click with your mouse on the screen and see if there is a possibility of shutting down the full screen.
You can press F4, F10, F11 or F15, depending on which computer you use. Failing that, if you have Windows 7, you should see a toolbar just above your scroll bar. Click Tools, and look down until you see the full screen option. Click on it and it should correct itself. If you run out of options and it really annoys you, take your laptop in to be fixed.

Yes, using rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball or swab will take the sticky off of a screen protector.
You see much more on full screen than the game windowed.But sometimes i have my game windowed so i can listen to music off youtube. :D
