Don't take my advice because I don 't know, but take off the old one and put on the new one.
yes....the solenoid is attached but you can take it off by disconnecting the wire tha runs to the starter...and 2 bolts..rather easy took me 15 minutes to replace my solenoid.
Remove the positive cable from the battery posts. Remove the cables from the starter. Remove the starter retaining bolts. The old starter will come off. Reverse the process to install the new starter.
The 1998 most likely has a Northstar engine. On this engine the starter is under the intake, and the intake has to come off for replacement.
it is under the intake manifold. you need to take the fuel rail off and take the intake manifold off to get to it it sits in the valley between the cylinder banks

You may have knocked off a wire when you reconnected the starter wire, Check the wire going to the O2 sensor. if this isn't it take it to a shop and have them scan the ecm. It could be a flewk.good luck....Michael

The headlight assembly on a 1998 Acura Integra is held on by brackets. To remove them loosen the bolts on the brackets. Pull the housings off. Install the new housings by placing them on the brackets.
take the starter off and take it to an auto parts store and have them check it.
