I have a 1988 Samurai convertible. The top just has a series of snaps that must be unsnapped. There are two snaps at the upper corners of the windshield, and several snaps along the bottom sides and back of the convertible top. There are also two or three snaps along the top of the bow which is above the zippered window in the back of the vehicle. There are also two straps that hold the bow in place. My straps have Velcro so you just undo them. Finally, there is a bead on the top which fits into a vertical groove on the B pillar (the column behind each door). This bead is extracted from the groove by lifting the top vertically on both sides of the vehicle. It sounds more confusing than it is. Just start unsnapping and look for additional attachment points.
like any other one take the drive shaft off and change it
it already is an offroading vehicle.. it's a fricken samurai!!
The Suzuki Samurai was a small, rugged, off-road-style vehicle which entered the North American market in the mid 1980s. Parts can be purchased online through eBay and from junkyards.
buy one off eBay or from a junk yard with the miles you want.
just did one take ur 4 bolts off the valve cover and u will see ur lifters and look closer there should be 10 bolts holding down the head
they come off with the spring to the knuckle not the brg. opposite of most cars
You will need to replace the output shaft seal where the axle spline goes into the transmission. Easy to do and it is a very simple fix. This should fix the seal and stop any leaking.
Take the gas tank off. Take the air box off. It should be under there.
This care is not Convertible. You must have a convertible nature.
take the tank off and flush it out with a water hose...
Take off the rear seat. Take off the saddle. Battery is under there. Remember to pull off Positive first, then negative. Hope that helps.
You must remove the t-case and the cradle to reach the transmission. It is super easy to install and remove once the t-case is secured in the cradle. Places the t-case in the correct position.
