take the water outlet off the top of the engine and the thermostat should be right there
you have to take the radiator off. the fan shroud. the fan and clutch and pulley off the front. then take the bracket holding the ignition coil off. then remove the power steering pulley and unbolt the other bracket that is in the way. once all this is done simply take the water pump bolts and nuts off and install
ECO Energy cut-off, will shut the gas off should the outlet water temperature exceed 200 F.
The coolant outlet pipe breaks inside bypassing the thermostat. It just happened to mine. I tore it apart and was amazed at the plastic parts that failed. I learned a bit more about it on a Lincoln LS forum and it seems quite common. Replace the coolant outlet pipe assembly along with your thermostat.
To replace the thermostat in you 1984 Chevy Celebrity: 1. Drain enough coolant out of the radiator to avoid a coolant spill when you take the water outlet off. It should not be necessary to drain the radiator unless you plan to change coolant. Wear gloves to keep coolant off of your skin. 2. Remove the bolts that hold the coil mount on and move the coil out of the way. If you take any wires loose make note of where they go so they can be put back. 3. Remove the bolts that hold the water outlet on. It is not necessary to take the upper radiator hose off of the outlet, but it may be convenient to do so, 4. The thermostat is behind the water outlet. Remove the old thermostat. Clean the mounting surfaces of both the water outlet and the thermostat housing so you can get a good seal. 5, Put the new thermostat in place, reattach the water outlet and upper radiator hose if you took it off. Refill the radiator with coolant and check for leaks. If there are no leaks put the coil back on and reconnect any wires that were removed. Start the engine and check further for leaks and thermostat operation. Top off coolant as necessary.
He wouldn't take his hat off in the theater
Some plane's are made to take off and land on water
because he is fat
with a hammer :)
take off the belts, then the fan and damper, take off metal tube and hose from water outlet on top of engine, pull the harmonic balancer then remove the top and bottom timing belt covers. once you get that done the water pump is in plain view. I just did it a few weeks ago and it's time consuming but not very hard.
loosen the bolts on the water pump pull and take off the belt, then take off the pully. take the hoses off then remove the bolts from the water pump and pull it off
Burn it!
