The butt plate screws (2) at the end of the stock must first be removed. You will need a long shank flat tip screwdriver to remove the screw at the bottom of the center hole in the stock butt. Reverse to reassemble.
This is actually a Marlin 120 with a cheaper grade stock. In good condition I would take less than $200.00 for a sturdy and reliable weapon. It has been mechanically compared to the Winchester Model 12.
Take the butt stock off and look on the edge of reciever where butt stock attaches to. Thats where i found mine.
Remove the butt plate. There is a hold in the stock under the butt plate. The stock bolt can be seen at the bottom of the hole. Obtain or make a screwdriver (or socket, if it is a hex nut) to fit the bolt slot. Be very careful to not let the screwdriver slip out of the slot when you are unscrewing the bolt or else you can go right through the side of the stock and ruin it.
The fore stock should pull directly down from the barrel if you grasp near the front. the butt stock is held in place by a long screw or bolt that can be located by removing the butt plate or recoil pad. Take off the butt plate. Use a long blade, hollow ground flate blade screwdriver to loosen the screw that holds the stock to the receiver. Be careful to not slip and crack the wood.
depends on the lee enfield but to take down my lee enflield, first i take the butt plate off, then with a long flat head screwdriver i take out the rear scew holding but butt end of the stock off. then i take the cross screw off the floor plate, and remove the screw holding the floorplate and fore arm to the receiver and then the stock is off

Your Marlin Glenfield .30.30 model 30A was made in 1974. For this perticular rifle, take the first two digits of the serial number (Yours are 26). Subtract 26 from 100, and you get the year of manufacture, which is 1974. Hope this helps.
A basic price guide on the pre-64 model 1894 rifles is between 350-550 dollars. If your rifle has any special order features such as checkered stock, half magazine, shotgun style butt stock, take down model etc. With a better than average finish on the wood and metal,we could be talking over 1,000 dollars.
Remove the butt plate on the shoulder stock, at the bottom of that big hole is there's one big screw flat head that holds the stock to the receiver. There may also be a single wood screw at the very end of the lower tang as well on some models.
Unscrew the large (largest and most obvious screw on the entire gun - located on the receiver) take-down screw and pull it out as far as it will go. It won't come all the way out. Carefully but firmly pull the barrel section from the receiver and butt stock.
It depends on the model. Call them at 1-800-847-9981 if you have the model or stock number from the instruction book. If you don't have model or stock number, you can take some good digital pictures of the chair and email them to service@tsyservices.com
