how do you take apart the dash cover on my 2003 Chevy cavalier
pop it off, there ain't no bolts. it feels like it's gonna break but it won't.
This is an awesome post for how to replace the dash lights; it also shows you how to take the dash cover/cowel off by lifting straight up until the pins come out: http://www.ionforums.net/viewtopic.php?t=444
you have to take off the dash cover witch has 5.5 size screws
RIGHT HAND SIDE BEANEATH THE DASH THERE IS A BLACK COVER,TAKE THIS COVER OFF AND THE HARNESS PLUGS INTO THE RESISTOR.
Take off the top dash cover.. There are some screws by the defrost vents, take off the tri piece to find those. And then underneath there will have about five more. Look up where the gear shift is to find these ones. Once you remove the dash cover, you will see a red box on the passenger side.
ok after you take out all the switches and radio, and a/c control unit thingy above the radio, there is 3 bolts holding in the dash, when you open the doors, on the very side of the dash there is one little square plastic peice in the middle on both sides, pop that cover off. the take the screw out, then there is an airvent on the top of the dash, in the middle, just below the wind shiel, pop that vent cover off then there is one more screw inside there. after you take that screw out the dash should come out pretty easy
It's not easy unless you've pulled a dash off before. You have to drop the bottom side of the dash on the drivers side i believe there's 4 screws. Then you need to take the gauge dash cover off again I think it's another 4 screws there's two on the bottom an then another two in the inside of the dash near the cluster itself. Be careful when pulling it out because the plastic cover brakes easy. once you have it off there's two more screws to take off then the cluster pop's off and the light are on the back an twist out but be careful
Under the dash of the driver side. there is a cover, take it off and you will see a fuse box. the diagram is on the plastic piece.
You have to take the dash cover off. The blend door cable and swing arm are just under and in font of the defroster vent. You have to pretty much take the defroster vent out to access the cable and swing arm. This whole process will take a while as you have to take the center console out, the dash cover off, the passenger airbag out, and the dash off just to be able to actually work on the blend door. But take the top dash cover off and look under the defroster vent and you will see two cables one is the position cable and one is the temp cable (connected to the swing arm on the blend door. You will then get an idea of how much you need to take apart to fix the problem. It also depends on how small your hands are and if you can work on the problem without removing everything else.
it us located at the end of ur dash on drivers side take plastic cover off then ul see it
you have to take ther screws out of the dash and take the dash off and you should be able to reach them easly you have to take ther screws out of the dash and take the dash off and you should be able to reach them easly
It is behind the radio but you have to take the whole dash out or you may can get to it if you take the oval shaped cover off(look to the left) above the passenger airbag it will be on a metal bracket. you can slide it off.
