on a small engine there are generally two types of governers, an air vane governer and a mechanical governer, depending on what type of governer you have it is possible to run the engine without the governer, on a mechanical governer it is more difficult, you will need to unhook the linkage to the governer-throttlebody, and fix in place the governer linkage arm, hook throttle cable directly to throttlebody, (note- most small engines of the lawn and garden type are rated to run a constant 3,800 rpm, increasing speed will cause premature failure and possible extreme engine damage
Take the transmission pan off>take filter out>govenor sensor housing in this area
The govenor on the carbeurtor, When the motor is not getting enough fuel and is about to cut off, The govenor kicks in and squirts more fuel in to keep it alive.
you take the the rubber off the outside of the govenor and there is a green wire that is on on side of the govenor its in the middle of the govonor box its just one wire by its self you can"t miss it its like a half circle you just cut it in half
There is no governor and no perf parts.
There is not a govenor on any dirtbikes unless some one put it on after they bought it otherwise Honda, Kawisaki, Yamaha etc. do not put govenors on there dirtbikes
you can jet it by buying better floats or you can take the govenor off . clean out the oil filter!

The govenor sits directly above the reeds before the intake on the Carb. Its a big metal peice. Be careful when removing, I removed mine and it has never run right since.

Jack the motor up and take the motor mount loose on the top right side. Carefully lower the motor down until you see the crankshaft bolt on the bottom. Then take the center bolt off the crankshaft and then the pulley will come off.
