Yes, you can fold it down, but you have to remove some large screws firt, not hard though

It is on top of the transmission under the intake housing. Take the housing off to get to it. It is held into the transmission by a clamp bolt. Not hard to get off.

How do you put a hard top on a 1997 jeep soft top?
You will need to remove the soft top hardware first. There will be 6 star hex bolts. You take them off and you should be able to remove the hardware. You will be down to metal on the sides. You will then be able to slide the hard top on and lock it in the front just like the softtop locked in. You will then have to put the bolts back on.

It is on the end of the engine facing the radiator. 2 bolts to take off. 1 is from the hose coming off the top radiator hose and the other is a heater hose. on my jeep Laredo the bottom nut is hard to get off because the belt is in the way. . Check the very top hose coming off the radiator and follow it it should take you to the thermostat.

Yes, it should be tucked down underneath the horseshoe cover behind the rear seats. It is stowed away as the regular convertible, and then the hard top is clipped into place on top. Always have someone help you take the hard top off, as the clips bend easily, and you run the risk of dropping it.
