There is a really thin horseshoe shaped circlip behind the winder handle . Use a screwdriver to gently lever the winder away from the panel and then use a small thin screwdriver to try and unhook the circlip . A bit awkward but trust me it will come off .

Hey just went through the same thing, you have to pull of a little metal clip which is located at the base of the winder, its pretty hard to get of and then back on again, but make sure you don't lose it because you cant put the winder back on without it.

Try depressing the door card around the winder and look in to see if you can push the spring clip off, from around the handle shaft, using a screwdriver.
