This is a pretty complicated process, if you intend to replace the radio with an aftermarket one. The physical removal isn't too difficult (and involves removing the center console panels, including the one around the shift knob), but the connectors that Lexus uses in this car's audio system are proprietary and do not interface with typical aftermarket units.
I strongly recommend that you have this done by a respectable car audio shop. They will know what to do.
How long will it take to replace a belt tensioner unit and serpentine belt in a lexus 1996 sc300?
just take out the gauge cluster and remove the bulb. simple as that.
Take a golf tee and jam it in the one little opening of the tape. Use that to wiggle it out
When your radio doesn't work in your 2002 Lexus ES 300 it could be a fuse or a wire. You should take your car to a automotive professional.
You have to drain the radiator then remove the two bolts on the top flange of the top hose and under that is the thermostat. See how it is installed so you put the replacement one in correctly.
Define "high performance". All SC400s are automatic transmissions, and have a V8 engine. Some people do like the extra power as compared to the I6 engine in the SC300. However, the SC300 is available in a 5-speed manual version (although it is very rare). The 5-speed is more fun to drive, in my opinion. Both of these cars are quite heavy (SC300 has a 3600 lb. curb weight, and the SC400 is even more), so they are not exactly 12-second 1/4 mile cars. They take premium grade gasoline. Really, you would have to drive one to decide whether this car meets your definition of "high performance".
you take the old one out and then put the new one in dummy
You have to remove the air vents/hazard lights/defrost button with a screwdriver and then there are 2 bolts that you take out above the radio and that's it.
You have to go to your local walmart or audio store because they make a special tool take to the radio out its like a u-shape and you take that and put on both sides of the radio and pull the radio out
on my 95 Lexus sc300DISCONNECT THE BATTERYyou open the trunk and remove the back wall it has 2 plasic snaps on bottemand on top it just clips inso just pull it outthen you will see the gas tank and on the top right corner of the tank you will see acircle dish with about 8 bolts holding it in take the bolts out and remove the fuel pumpthat's should do it
Take it to a Lexus dealer.
Check the Owners Manual for the code (If you have them, but if not), go to the dealer ship and ask them, or take the radio out and get the code from behind and go to this website http://www.radio-code.com/BMWPayPageRadioCode.htm
