First get it used to it surroundings and you + your voice. Interact with it gently. If you end up owning it don't keep it locked up for the rest of its life and walk it out side if the conditions are right. I have a pet rabbit and he has developed actually feelings for my family and I. He follows us when we walk too far and he is also litter trained amazingly. So if you don't hurt it, are gentle, love it, give it respect, and also keep in mind that it is almost like a cat, you will be able to tame it.

spend a lot of time with him/her, hive it some treats. do not expose it to scary thing like Young children or other animals. what you can do is get a pen (like a puppy play pen) that you can sit and lay down in, place the rabbit in the pen then lay down in the pen, don't make any fast movements just allow the rabbit to sniff and explore you. this will get the rabbit used to your presence, you can do this 15 or more minuets a day. soon the rabbit will start to jump up onto you to get a better look of his/her surrounding. (and if its a male he might want to have some fun with you!) hope this helps.

It all depends on which kind of bunny. And how old it is when you try to tame it. If you are talking about a wild bunny, then you should probably learn to have the mother trust you, so that you will not be bitten once you try to take her babies. Try to feed her food and pet her. To tame her babies, feed them food and pet them and show them love. Bunnies are naturally calm as pets and don't really need behavior help. However, if you are talking about a pet bunny as a baby in a pet store, just love it unconditionally! Don't go out too much, and play with it! If you are adopting an adult bunny, you should try a little harder. Sometimes, adult bunnies are put into bad homes prior to a shelter or wherever you adopt it from. They will keep memories if their previous owner hit them or showed them no love and neglect. They will defend themselves if you go to pick them up and might bite you. Don't use fast hand motions to pick them up, and slowly pet them. Never tease them. And keep them healthy. NEVER hit a bunny! They will hate you and become a "biting bunny"!

Wildlife should be left alone. It may even be illegal to keep wildlife where you live. If you'd like a pet rabbit, look on the PetFinder website or contact your local House Rabbit Society chapter -- there are tons of rabbits just waiting to be adopted. See links below.

I have a rabbit myself, and got this advice. I hope you find it helpful! :)

Don't smile at them - they think you are showing your teeth in aggression.

Don't lunge when going to pick them up - they think you are a predator.

When holding them, hold close to the chest.

Don't shout or make loud noises.

When speaking to them, don't speak in a low voice - low voice shows anger, high voice shows calmness and security.

You should also give them exercise and treats when they do good things. When you let them exercise they know that you are dependable because if a predator (cat or dog etc.) comes they know that they might be able to get away in a safe place at your home. The treats that you give them are good for them to learn but you don't want to tease them.

Never pet different sex rabbits in the same cage, they will fight. Depending on the size of rabbit, she can get pregnant at 4 months. The interesting part is; rabbits have 2 uterus and can get pregnant with 2 litters at the same time!

How old is 5 in bunny years?

Actually your bunny is around 65 years human. A 6 month old doe rabbit is equal to a 15-18 year old female human. (Old enough to have a baby but really waitng a couple of more months would be better (2 or 3 years human). So a 1 year old doe rabbit is in her sexual prime (24 to 36 year old female human). A seven year old rabbit is a really old human woman. Actually your rabbit is 57 years old.
