Just keep repeating it and it should stick.Or if that doesnt work you could get your pigs favorite fruit or veggie and hold it across from it and say your pigs name until it comes to you.
HOPE THIS HELPS! :)
A good way to teach your gerbil it's name is by holding a treat in your hand and call it's name once or twice. When it comes let it eat the treat If you have more than one gerbil than separate them while you train them.
Repetition - repeat your ferrets name to him, and when he visually responds, reward him with a treat. Once he responds to his name, instead of giving him a treat every time, praise him and play with him using his favorite toy Ferrets are intelligent animals, and will learn in a couple of weeks at the most. But, like humans, each individual's learning ability can be different. When picking a name for an animal, keep it short, and simple one syllable word, it's easier for them to learn. Sometimes when ferrets are exploring, they kind of focus in on something, when you call their name, they'll ignore you. My Little boy ferret, if I hear him digging or scratching on something, and I don't know where he's at, I'll call his name, he'll quit for about a minute, then go back to what he's doing.
to teach a gerbil its name hold a treat a couple of inch away from it and say its name as it comes towards you
you put some dry food in your hand and make sure she/he can see it and then call her/his name.
What I did was say its name { Bella } then give her a treat when she responded. This may take some time, but she knows her name now!
Keep saying its name. Praise it when it responds.
you get a treat and make the gerbil follow it and eventually it will learn to do the course for a treat

It is called a gerbilarium.
It really depends on what trick you want it to do. As i dont have pet gerbils, i reallycant help. Sorry!!
I think it would be a good name!(:
Biting is the only way a gerbil has to communicate with you that it doesn't like something. So to try and force them to stop isn't natural. Plenty of handling early on in life with gerbils from a responsible independent (not a pet store) breeder, will not result in a gerbil that bites hard or often.
The scientific name for the most common type of gerbil, the Mongolian, is Meriones Unguiculatus. In Latin it translates to "clawed warrior."

Gerbils are terrible at singing. They prefer to play the keyboard. My gerbils are good at opera singing and playing the bog roll
fish, bird, hamster, housefly, turtle, and gerbil
It all depends on what you feel is best for your gerbil. You can call it any name you want.... someone I know named hers after brands: Hershey, Snickers, Reeses, etc.
