(S)he may have an ear infection that is causing pain.
take her to the vet
IT is probably from an ear infection. You might notice him also scratching it a lot. Usually the vet will have an ointment you can just squirt in there and it will make it go away in less than a week. If you keep their ears clean this usually isn't a problem.
You can tell that your six month old has an ear infection if he/she is restless, crying inconsolably and touching his/ her ear, due to the pain. You should probably call your pediatrician just to be on the safe side.
Take her to the Vet! She needs some ear drops and the vet will tell you how much to put in and when. Also, the 'black stuff' is part of it, just clean it out with a tissue or some swabs (don't shove it down the dog's ear though! You could cause some serious injury!)
If there is any discharge or foul odor coming from your dogs ears, then it has an ear infection. If you see clumps of brown or black, your dog may have ear mites. Check with your vet to be sure.
An ear infection is when you get an infection in your ear.
Your eardrums might explode and you'll get an ear infection. I can tell you that from my own experience.
Could be infected, or an allergic reaction to something the dog came in contact with. I would call the vet and flush the ear with warm water. I'm a dog groomer. If its the ear flap it is generally a hematoma. Which is pooling blood. It would need to be lanced open and drained, sometimes a tube is stitched in so it can continue to drain for a few days. It is caused by alot of shaking of the head or scratching the ear. Should be seen by a vet. If its inside the ear more it could be a very bad ear infection. Probably bitten by a spider or a tick. Call the vet.
