I bet you have a 4.6 L engine. If so, then check where the thermostat housing is, there is a plastic cross over to the other side of the intake. The intake cracks right there. Loss of coolant will cause overheating, plus if you look behind the alt. or remove it and start the engine, you will see where it is leaking, that`s if it is leaking to the outside. Most times it does. Ford has a problem with these intakes. They have modified the new part, now a cast cross over. If that is not the problem, then with a blown head gasket you will have white smoke out the exhaust all the time, and the coolant level will of course go down. If it is the intake gasket, then you will have coolant in the oil, easy to see when you check the oil, creamy brownish colour and of course you will lose coolant and it will overheat also. Most likely since you said `white smoke water coming out around front of intake ` Ford wants anywhere from $ 500. to $ 700.00 just for the intake. It`s a 5 to 8 hour job for yourself. At Ford, $$$$$ 1,500. big bucks. Good luck.

It could be a head gasket or a cracked head. Look at the exhaust manifold for each cylinder on the side that has the white smoke, the cylinder that has the leak will cause that port on the manifold to get super hot. One way to quickly identify which port is to spray some cheap black (or color of choice) paint on the exhaust manifold and fill the radiator and start the engine. The paint on the bad cylinder will burn off first.
on the intake manifold you should see a vacuum line coming from it connecting to youe throttle body
No, a ring around the moon means that sunshine is coming, pirates used to thing that when rings are around the moon, a sunny day is coming, and sunny days did come from rings around moons.
Check the water pump. Examine it for traces of dried coolant that might be leaking out of the casting.
does it have anti freeze in it? is the electric fan coming on or any fan? thermostat could be bad, or cooling system clogged, bad water pump?
leaking or cracked manifold
Where is the leak coming from. Most likely you will need to replace the exhaust manifold gasket which will require removing the exhaust manifold.
Most likely you are burning antifreeze. This could be cause by a leaking head gasket or an intake manifold gasket. This condition needs to be corrected quickly, as it could lead to catastrophic engine failure.
If you aren't hearing a lot of exhaust noise and you're just getting smoke, you have either an oil leak or antifreeze leak that is getting on the exhaust manifold. If you're getting oil on the manifold you have a fire hazard and should take care of the problem immediately. If you hear exhaust gas leaking around the manifold you need to replace the gasket or possibly the manifold is cracked and you need to replace the manifold.
the intake manifold is what takes air coming from the intake and directs it to each intake valve in each cylinder
The intake manifold.
your manifold bolts are loose
if it's coming out the exhaust manifold it could be a blown head gasket or cracked head.
By "exhaust manifold sensor" do you mean the O2 or oxygen sensor? The only sensor I know of on a exaust manifold is the O2 sensor and if you follow the manifold you will see 2 sensors sticking out they will have (usually) green wires coming from them
it's in the down pipe coming from your exhaust manifold. you will have to remove the heat shield from the exhaust manifold to access it
The head gasket or actual cylinder head is cracked.
