Tell me the year and I can tell you the answer.
2 wheel antilock brakes only work on the rear wheels, while 4 wheel antilock brakes work on all 4 wheels.
Helps you avoid wheel lock up and maintain control
antilock brakes could lock up on any vehicle for various reasons. for ex, a wheel sensor/trigger wheel is dirty(mud) and the sensor can pick up the signal, the computer will not activate the antilock feature.if the antilock light is lighted on the dash the wheels will lock.
Improperly adjusted, new pads, low traction, etc.... most vans only had rear-wheel antilock brakes.
Two wheel abs will only have wheel speed sensors in the rear. Four wheel abs will have wheel speed sensors at all four wheels.
i have the exact same van, and i was told it was four wheel antilock.
Antilock Braking System sensors are mounted at each wheel to directly monitor the rotation. Look for the wires going to each wheel near the brakes.
Rear wheel yes, four wheel was an option.
Drum brakes, and tend to develop leaky wheel cylinders which in turn cause wheels to lock up and in doing so causes antilock system to activate. Real annoying!
Yes
If it has 4 wheel antilock brakes, the rear speed sensor is in the rear end. There is a 10mm bolt that holds it in place. One the front there is a sensor for each wheel. It will be at the hub and have a wire going to it.
