look on Google images or determine the sizeof the turtle and stop listening to wiki answers they lie
size is not an accurate way to tell age of a turtle do to the fact that if the turtle is kept in poor conditions ie without light in a very small enclosure not eating correctly or if it is sick... but from my opinion a quarter sized turtle is about 5 weeks old.
No, a painted baby turtle is only the size of a quarter as hatching, the size of the turtle has really no reference to size! Size if composed of age and food supply. a painted turtle is like a red eared turtle which can get up to 8-10" in size depending on the food / environment they are raised in
count the circils on his or her back
There is no way to tell how old a sea turtle is or even how long they live. The best estimate is that they can be up to eighty years old when they die. There are no rings or lines on a turtle shell that increase with age to tell how old the turtle is. A typical sea turtle reaches breeding age around 25-30 (for loggerheads). After a turtle does become an adult, it is anyone's guess how old it is.
A lot of people would tell you that you know how old a turtle is by counting the boxes on its shell, but it isn't true. I guess the only way to know is to know when it was born. To check it out yourself, you can go to www.yourturtle.wetpaint.com:)
As long as you wash your hands after being bit then you should be fine. Turtles carry salmonella depending on the age. The smaller the turtle the more salmonella it will have. Even when holding the turtles you want to wash your hands after.
if they are wild its most likely to tell their age but if it isn't wild if don't think you'll have a good chance of telling its age. hope this answers your question
Hello! Well, just like old men, the male turtle will start to develop wrinkles. The older the turtle reaches, the more wrinkles it will get. Cheers! Squidney
It matters on the turtle's age...
The gender of a turtle does not affect the age of the turtle. You can tell the age of your turtle by looking at the layers on the turtles scute. Scutes are what makes a turtles shell look quilted. Each scute sheds about once a year, revealing a new scute and leaving a layer on the new scute. By seeing how many layers are on a scute you can tell how many years old your turtle is. Example. 2 layers = 2 years, 10 layers = 10 years. A turtle with no layers will be less than a year old.
People in the Stone Age painted on cave walls as a form of communication, storytelling, and to represent their environment and experiences. These early forms of art may have also had spiritual or ritual significance.
A yellow back turtle or yellow-bellied slider is an aquatic terrapin which has evolved to live in warm waters. There is no definitive way in determining how old it is and the rings on its shell are not conclusive in gauging its years of age.
