Write down the serial number off the seial number plate usually on the back of the tractor and go to your john deere dealer who can easily tell you the year of your tractor.
Which type of tractor are you talking about? John Deere used similar numbering systems for its various models of tractors. My best suggestion for you is to try your local John Deere dealer and by giving them a full description of your tractor they can easily tell you what year your tractor was made.
It can tell you the year of the tractor and if you want to find out all you can, have it researched at http://www.twocylinder.com/research.htm
By having the number researched at your local John Deere dealer they can easily tell you the year for most tractors produced.
Check the rear of the tractor above the PTO. I may be wrong so if it isn't there check on the engine for a plate w/ a number of a cast engine number which your John Deere dealer should be able to identify and tell you at least what year it is.
John Deere owners are for the most part are diligent about the care and feeing of their machines. To this end, most owners (and the manufacturer) will tell you to always use John Deere parts. Go to www.johndeere.com for a dealer locator in your area. You'll also find a link on the site to buy parts direct.
Yes, John Deere tractors are considered the best tractors available. The John Deere brand is so good the iconic green and yellow has become a symbol for most farm equipment. In fact, when you tell people you have a tractor, most will assume its a John Deere, because nothing runs like a Deere.
I have a F911 john deere front mow with a serial number of MOF911X110134. Can you tell the year of manufacture?
John Deere 450C Crawler Loader S/No. 450C 845469T . Need year of manufacturer
I have never driven the John Deere 4310, so I can't tell you how it handles. I would suggest looking at some tractor review websites, to read reviews from John Deere owners. Tractorbynet.com has reviews for that specific model. Visit them at: http://www.tractorbynet.com/cgi-bin/reviews/reviews.pl/view/John%20Deere%20Reviews
Write down the number and take it to your local John Deere dealer and they can tell you some information. Anything from lawn mowers to 4-wheel drive tractors made by John Deere can have the year found out by having their serial numbers researched.
Considering the million of products that serial number might be for...try taking it to your local John Deere dealer along with the model number and I'm sure he can help tell you everything you want to know.
