How do you tell ur guy friend that u love him-giving him hints has not helped then how -if a guy loves u does he tell u directly or is he shy reserved?

Instead of giving hints just simply tell him when your in a hug so you whisper it in his ear and if he doesn't respond right away don't be taken aback by that and it doesn't mean he doesn't feel the same way - its just a lot to take in for some people and may not know how to respond at that time. Let them respond in their own way on their own terms - don't pressure them concerning it.
Or you can just tell them upfront when you are alone. I am struggling with the same thing but I have tryed my suggestion and the one above. i dont know what to do. i would just pull him aside and be very firm saying i have tryed every thing to tell you i like you but none of oit is working so i just wanted you to know.
