You check for testes. But that is not foolproof, since sometimes they don't descend until they have been virile for a while, and thus, you might have a surprise pregnancy of another hamster thinking the one is a girl. Also, if you catch them mating, you will see which one is on top, and if you pull him off, you will see his penis.
You have to wait until they're a little older to tell. Otherwise, you wouldn't know WHAT is under that stuff and fluff! But when they get a bit older, their bottom would be either big, pink and puffy- for the male- or v shaped- for the female- both designed for mating. The reason this doesn't happen until their older is so that they don't mate when their too young, because neither one would be ready.
If you are not told when you get it, you can tell by looking at their tail (the little stubby thing on their butt) a girl has a round bum that goes to their tail. boys arent as round I THINK
The female's "dots" will be closer to each other. The male's will be further apart. If a female hamster has short fur, tiny nipples will be seen. A male does not have it.
You can't tell til they are older but look out for testacles. i have seen syrian sexing charts on Google images google it. check a vet but as i said it would still be hard to tell
No. You can only tell a hamster's gender by a DNA test or the other generally used method fortelling any animal's gender.
tickle its belly to arouse it, then you will see if it has a winky :)
You can t check the gender of a hamster if they bite !! The only way you can tell is if you turn them over and check under their stomach, you should be able to tell what gender it is :D hope this helps
A pregnant hamster, by definition, must be female.
In English there are no masculine or feminine forms. English uses gender specific nouns for male or female. The noun 'hamster' is a common gender noun, a word for a male or a female of the species. The gender specific noun for a female hamster is doe.The gender specific noun for a male hamster is buck.
The hamster's size has no bearing on gender. A hamster that eats a lot and doesn't get much exercise, will get gat.
They might cause a fight, if same gender, If not the same gender, the they will (most likely) have babies, and when a female hamster has babies, you have to help the babies come out. And if you touch the hamster babies AT ALL, the mother will eat them. I don't recommend buying another hamster.
if you look it up an google it will tell you. I also looked it up... it was gross. Anyways, pet stores are bad at telling gender so make sure that you check instead
I have a teddy bear hamster that is a male. You can tell the gender by looking at the under side a your hamster, then if your hamster has two testicles (it looks like a little butt) is a male if not it is a female.
a brown teddy bear hamster cam be a girl or a boy, if you don't no what the gender is go to the vet or the store from where you got it see what gender it is .
Chances are, if it looks like your stereotypical hamster, it is a hamster. If it doesn't, it's a rabbit.
That is the same thing.
