when rabbits start coming out the rabbit!
CHARLA -
i agree with person above. and also you know when she keeps jumping in and out of the nestbox (you do have a nestbox don't you? or else babies will be born on wire and die) anyway, she keeps pulling hair ourt of her chest line it in the nestbox. she may also line the nestbox with hay or straw. TIP- when this is happening give her a raspberry leaf or two it helps with labor.
idk how rabbits go in labor but i have rabbits my self and there cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is ugly when they push them out!!!!
She will start pulling hair from her belly(another rabbit if she is in the same cage with one) and building her nest. You can also gently pick her up and touch her belly to see if she is starting to form milk in her mammory glands. If so get her a box to build her nest in.
if babies show up, it is giving birth
or, watch her. give her a nest box and straw. if she moves the straw around and starts pulling out her fur, she's about to go into labor. when she starts giving birth, her belly will roll during a contraction.
You really should leave her alone if you suspect it is her time. Watching her could cause her to get nervous and either string babies on the wire instead of in the nest box OR jump in and out of the nest box stomping on her babies as she gives birth. She should really be in a secluded dark place as soon as you see she is building a nest.
If the bunny is close she will begin to pull hair from her body and make a nest, it is advised to furnish a 4 sided box for her to jump into but the babies can not wiggle out of.
Rabbits give birth extremely quickly, normally only taking about 15 minutes or so.
There is some good information here at the related link
when a rabbit is having birth...they usually lay down and stay there. you shouldn't let them have alot of physical activities to do.
when it doesnt act like itself. Also some signs are it will start to drink a lot of water, pull its fur out, and shove and collect hay straw in its mouth
When a rabbit is giving birth, it is called kindling.
If it is like having a hard time like a big tummy and moving on the floor its quite hard for giving birth.
go take them to the vet and take tests on the animal and you will find out
It is really hard to tell. If she makes a nest then she is prob. having babies. But stay away from them please, unless you absolutely know the mom died. They don't come to feed their babies often and they wouldn't feed them around you anyway.
1 out of 125. It is rare that a rabbit dies while giving birth.
one rabbit, but this is very uncommon. Often, when there is just one kitten, it is because of a still birth.
A wild rabbit gives birth in it's burrow. This is often underground. A domestic rabbit gives birth in a nesting box in it's cage.
Snails don't give birth. They lay eggs.
you can go to the store and they would know if its a small one or an adult and they would tell them there birth I would check out the American Rabbit Breeders Association. Check the link for their website.
