When you take your hands off the steering wheel with the car moving and it goes to the left or right quickly.
It is in the way you wheel wear. If you go to tyre centre they will be able to tell you if you need an alignment as they can see the way you tyres are wearing.
Temporarely let go of the steering wheel and see if it pulls either left or right.
Sounds like a ball joint. Take it to an alignment shop with a deal on or free inspections and they can tell you for certain.
it could mean that you have a bent rim, a wheel weight might have fallen off, or you need to have new tires, or it could need a front end alignment, but I would start out checking the balance on the tires and the shop should be able to tell you if it is a bent rim then go from there.
you need an alignment, badly....or your bearing snapped. call a mechanic, and tell them your vehicles' symptoms. they'll tell ya the same thing i just did
The front end geometry is different on all cars. Some need king pins, some need ball joints, some need idler arms, some need Pittman arms, just depends. Take it to an alignment shop, if repairs are needed they will tell what you need.
A tire alignment is not necessary when changing tire sizes. You can tell by the wear on your previous tires if you need an alignment. If you have uneven wear, get an alignment.
A two wheel alignment or a four wheel alignment? Where are you located? I'm near philly two wheels start at around 50 bucks four wheels are closer to 100. Best bet is to call up local shops near you tell them what you need and see how much they charge. Each place is different and it also depends on which you want obviously.
Wheel alignment should be done by a professional shop. Some places (Town Fair) will not align the rear wheels on a Beretta/Corsica due to ridiculous shop policy, but they canbe done. First, ask around to see if a shop near you installs shims for alignment. Shims of proper size/thickness will need to be installed in specific areas behind the wheel bearings in order to properly adjust the rear wheels. If alignment is extremely out-of-spec, you may have a bad wheel hub, or a bent rear beam. The shop will tell you if this is the case, as they should be replaced.
sorry to have to tell you this but the bearings are part of the wheel hub and sealed within. you need to change the entire hub. $$$$$$$
No way to tell for sure, BUT check alignment, left front break, CV joint The above post is correct, all of those things can cause a pull to one side or the other. You will need someone qualified in front end alignment to diagnose the problem.
Sam's Club does not do front end alignments. They do sell tires and if your tires are wearing unevenly, they can tell you if a front end alignment is recommended.
