Think up a "sensitive" way to say what you mean, girls like the effort from the Men, and Boys don't realise it but they expect it from the girls.
If He or She does not feel the same way, if you are cool and calm about the rejection it then is easier to get past and stay friends, be disapointed and let it show but crying or outbursts will drive your friend away.
