Try to set her down in your living room and say you have something important to tell her. If, your mum strongly disagrees about boyfriends tell her you are sorry but you have a boyfriend. Wait for a couple of seconds and see her reaction. Show your mature side by listening what she has to say. If that's not the case well then just calmly say you have one.

Well, if what your worried about, seeing that you wrote she's gossipy, your problem is her saying something then just don't tell her until you feel that your relationship is strong enough to announce it to the family. Remember it's not the same to gossip about something or someone else, than to gossip about your own daughter. People who gossip, depending on the person, sometimes don't like to be the focus of the gossip. Besides, he's your boyfriend if your fear is that your mother will spread around that you have a boyfriend sooner or later you'll have to be with him in public and people will know. So if you just want some time to get to know him first before it be spread across the "headlines" then just don't tell until your ready ( If your a minor remember that keeping secrets from your parents is not a healthy practice, so always be responsible with other and especially with your self, caution is the word. ∙ 15y agoYou just start talking about how great of freinds the two of you are and then tell her about it. I wrote it in a letter but if you can tell the face to face try that. I just dont have a great closeness to my mum at all. Just try your best to get it out quickly. Good Luck

∙ 16y agowhen she is in a good mood eg:- # you got good marks in a test. # you give her a present and she loves it. # etc..................... break it to her polietly, if she gets angry stat cool it shows you are mature and can aontrol your life. make sure she is not in a bad mood , angry, etc........... hope it helps.

∙ 14y agoAlright! First ask her what she thinks about if you get a boyfriend. Hopefully the answer will be good. If it isn't just keep breathing relax. Tell her, either way, that you want to be able to have a boyfriend and that you have one. If she gets mad at you and starts the whole your too young thing then explain to her that she can't protect you from everything and that you need to make your own mistakes. Hopefully, she'll understand. Then, if you want, tell her about him!

Well my mum still doesn't want me to have a boyfriend but she's fine with it and even lets me talk about it to her, after my cousin told her. Keeping Secrets is not a good thing because when your mum finds out its really bad because my cousin told my mum so just take a chance!
