I got a detention cause my phone rang, but my mom was ok with it
* You should try to act calm and try not to act like you just got a detention in front of your friends. You should tell your parents, if your teacher has not already told them, and you should tell them why you got it. Then just act good for the next couple of days, until you had the detention, and your parents forget about it.;]
I think that you should tell them, mom/dad listen to me before you get mad. I got a detention in school today. I _____________. (Cheated, swore, etc.) How can I make things better. Then listen to what you should do unless they're really milking the opportunity. Otherwise, do what they tell you. The give them a hug and go do what they told you to do.
for my detention
Do whatever you can to get them happy.
Yes, unfortunately it is. Primary schools do not have the power to keep children in after school without the parents' consent (would you be mean enough to give your child a detention?). However, it is up to the school as to what children do during school hours within reason. Sorry to tell you this, because you probably asked because your child had been given an unfair detention (it has happened to me once).
The front desk can tell you how to do it.
The child was ashamed to tell her mother why she had to serve a detention at school.
Sit them down, and say, "Mom and Dad, I did <insert action deserving of detention here> today and I got a dentention as punishment. I feel badly for what I said/did. I don't want to have another detention, so I have learned my lesson."
The number of parents who pick up their children from detention can vary significantly based on factors like location, time of year, and local school policies. On average, in larger school districts, it might range from a handful to several dozen parents daily, while smaller districts may see fewer instances. This number is often influenced by school discipline practices and the frequency of detention assignments. Overall, there isn't a definitive statistic that captures this across all regions.

Speak and tell. Write and make them read. Go to doctor who will tell them. Tell a relative or friend, who tell your parents.
