As you and everything you wear and own probably smells like an old dirty ashtray they may have worked it out already. Time to come clean. Take a deep breath (while you still can) and tell them straight and the sooner the better. Make sure you have good and reasonable argument supporting why you are hell bent on ruining your health, they will give you a hard time. If your parents are not smokers than I would guess that they already know. Smoking makes your skin, clothes, hair, breath all smell like smoke. A smoker can not smell it because they are used to it. People that don't smoke, pick up on the smoke right away. If they smoke then they will probably not detect the odor. If you are of legal smoking age, then tell them. Nicely. If you are not old enough to legally smoke then I would suggest that you tell them that you smoke and you want their help to quit. Since you haven't told them yet I'll guess that you are either too young or you know that they will disaprove of your habit. Either way tell them in a nice calm way and hopefully they will understand. If they don't smoke and won't approve, them standby for some flack. But if they give you a lot of grief, remember that you are the one that is wrong not them. They want the best for you.

You're very brave to want to get help from your parents, and even if they don't tell you, they'll be proud of you for coming to them. Find a time when both of your parents are relaxing (like after work and after dinner) and tell them respectfully and calmly that you have a problem that you can't fix by yourself. (Do NOT do this at the dinner table in front of the whole family) Tell them that you respect them and want their advice. Listen carefully to their questions, and answer them completely. Even if they're smokers themselves, they'll be concerned about you and will want to help you.
My last cigarette was smoked in August of 1978, and I haven't smoked since.
