does the coil pack make it run better
You can purchase an ignition coil, including coil pack, for a Buick LeSabre online, through automotive supply dealers, or at your certified Buick dealership auto shop. The price for the parts alone will run around $40 to $45. Then, you will have to add in the labor costs, which vary depending on your mechanic.
There is no coil wire. There is a coil pack and connected to the coil pack is the ignition control module.

Either the blower motor fan switch is bad or the blower motor resistor pack is defective. It is more than likely the blower motor resistor pack.
My 90 lesabre did the same thing. When it cut off after driving I sprayed water on the crank sensor and it started right back up. A buick mechanic told me to do this and this is how I found out the crank sensor was bad!

Yes it very well could, because a misfiring coil pack or weak coil pack can cause interruptions in the signals to both the camshaft position sensor into the crankshaft position sensor. I had this happen on my Buick LeSabre, it gave a code 18, which is Cam / crank position sensor error okay. I replaced all three coil packs, and it went away and never came back. If you look at the diagram for the wiring of your ignition control module, you'll see that the coil packs, ignition control module, and camshaft and crankshaft position sensors are all interconnected.
