Litmus paper is an easy and safe way to determine if a substance is a base. Alternatively, you could add an acid and see if it reacts. However, this has explosive potential, so I wouldn't really recommend it.

well as we know if we want to test a substance to see if its a base then we use red litmus paper and for an acid we use blue litmus paper. So if we are using blue litmus paper that means we are obviously testing to see if we have an acid right? So if we see it turn pink then that means that are substance is an acid but it is not very strong and also has some of a base to it. If you want to see what i mean look up a PH scale. Hope this helped. :)
Why is tap water being used as a test substance
Only one at a time, since you would not know which variable(s) made the observed changes. You would need to measure each change separately. But if you want to test multiple variables, then you would need to test every possible permutation. If you want to test two chemicals, then you should test your control (a placebo using neither substance), substance A, substance B, and both substances.
An Acid is a substance that tastes sour and Base is a substance that tastes bitter and feels slippery.
Don't know but there is a android and iOS app provide alcohol, smoking and substance involvement screening test by Assist Plus. To know more visit this site: assistplus.adelaide.edu.au

There is no such thing as a chemical "indictor". However a chemical "indicator" is:- It is a test that is used to determine the Ph of a substance, which leads to finding out if its an acid or base. There are many different kinds of indicators such as litmus paper and universal indicator, that when reacted with a substance change color to show you if it's an acid or base.
A Brønsted-Lowry base is a substance which gain a proton.
