1. Place a small amount of glucose with some Benedict's solution in a test tube
2. Heat this by putting the test tube in a beaker of boiling water.
3. Once you've done this, the solution will turn from clear blue to cloudy green before changing again in colour to yellow and then lastly a precipate red copper (1) oxide will be deposited.
How to test for glucose:
1. Add glucose (or the ground substance you want to test) to a test tube
2. Add Benedict's solution to the test tube
3. Heat the solution by placing the test tube in boiling water
4. The solution will turn clear blue, then yellow, green ,orange or green, orange and finally a red precipate of copper (1) oxide will be produced, showing that glucose is present

1. Put the strip of Clinistix paper into the glucose solution for 30 seconds.
2.The colour of Clinistix paper will change from pink to blue, showing glucose is present.
