The sample of aluminum chloride be treated with some ammonia(1:1)aqueous solution and filtered. To the filterate add a few drops of 2N HNO3, aqueous solution, followed by a few drops of 1% aqueous solution of silver nitrate. Appearance of curdy white precipitate soluble in dilute ammonia aqueous solution would indicate presence of chloride. Since aluminum chloride is quite covalent, the chromyl chloride test may not be very effective
This test is never used for detection of tyrosine in urine, because urine contain chloride that chloride ions interfere with this test by combining with mercury chloride (HgCl2)
Sodium chloride pH Presence of disaccarides
The appearance of Thernards blue color indicating the presence of aluminium hydroxide...
hahaha Fail!
Yes, the biuret test will indicate the presence of peptides. If it turns violet, it is a positive result.
Due to presence of chloride ion
Why is it difficult to test the presence of chloride in organic compounds than in inorganic ones like hydrochloric acid?
Cobalt chloride is used to test for the presence of water. If there is no water present it is blue, if water is present it goes pink.

calcium chloride burns with a orange flame.
Determining sodium or chlorine by analytical chemistry methods. In the flame test the color is yellow (from sodium radiation).
Add Silver Nitrate to it and a white precipitate should form
The li mit t est for chloride is mainly used to control chloride impurity in the pharmaceutical material, depends upon the precipitation of chloride with silver nitrate in presence of nitric acid and comparison of precipitation produced in the sample with that of standard solution containing a known amount of chloride ion.
Test: Add aqueus sodium carbonate solution, then warm it. Observation: Formation of white precipitate. Deduction: The presence of aluminum ions, Al3+ Or Test: Observation: Add aqueous sodium hydroxide White precipitate occur Add aqueous sodium hydroxide (excess) & warm White precipitate solute Test with red litmus paper Changes red - blue Deduction: The presence of aluminum ions, Al3+
