The checking of oil level and condition in this application is a very easy process. First the vehicle must be shut off and parked in safe location. Care must be exercised if the engine and its components are hot. The dip stick (oil level indicator) should be pulled out and wiped clean. Then it should be reinserted all the way back into the pipe. Lastly it should be pulled out again to get an oil level reading. If low it should be topped off gradually and rechecked. Frequent filling or oil consumption may be a sign of a serious mechanical or safety issue and should be checked by a qualified mechanic/shop.

Right in the middle of the engine area is a black oil cap. In there.
It's the bottle under the bonnet with the cap and a wire on it.
Twist off the oil filler cap (the one marked with a picture of an oil can) and, unless you can pour it very accurately, use a clean plastic funnel to pour in 5w 30 grade oil - a bit at a time, checking the dipstick each time until the oil level reaches the top mark on the dipstick.
It contains no R12 Freon. Freon has not been used for years.
unclip the lid that the orange dipstick sits in, then fill the inner.
