to trade from leaf green/fire red to diamond/pearl/platinum you av 2 put the gba game in the gba slot an the ds lite and go onto dia/pearl/plati and select emigrate from leafgreen/firered and select the Pokemon u want 2 transfer
then on the ds games go to pal park and u can catch the Pokemon u av transfered
